This is an original gray tag Nike boating jacket from the short lived line created by Geoff Hollister. Geoff was one of the first Nike employees who originally helped the brand with Prefontaine. His task in 1986-87 was to bring Nike into the boating world. He succeeded by getting the Aussie team fitted with on deck apparel for the prestigious America's Cup race (as seen in pic below). His efforts were spoiled by upper management when they canceled the line behind his back and only kept the aqua socks alive. The apparel pieces that released in 87 were nice, but lacked the graphics that made Nike hot. This jacket, was custom done featuring chain stitched logo, stenciling, and sewn on patch all inspired by Geoff's original work.
