Nike Air Jordan VI "School Memories" Canvas Artwork
Original artwork personally done for a Portland art show; circa 2014.
Theme: "School Memories"
Measures 24" X 18"
Wooden frame within (1.5" thick sidewalls) Custom splatter printed to match the OG box
My first pair of J's were a stroke of luck that began a sneaker obsession at age 11. There was just 1 pair left at the local shoe store, on sale, and I was able to convince my mom to allow me to work off the other $25 (She was only prepared to spend $40 on my school shoes in 1991)
The artwork was a dramatization of how it felt to go on the school bus that first time I wore my new Jordans. This is a canvas mounted digital print that features my photography (for the angle), photoshopping Norman Rockwell characters (another favorite of mine), as well as mixed personal artwork mixed in.
